No matter what stage of life you’re in, you may be a bit overwhelmed by last week’s exercise. That’s because in reality our lives always contain stressors. It is an illusion that we can organize the outsides of our lives in the right constellation such that challenges, losses, or disappointments will be permanently eliminated. Everyone experiences harm and trauma at some point in our very human lives. Everyone needs help and support sometimes.

Responding to ourselves as if we are worthy of care is entirely different than trying to control our lives to achieve perfection in the mistaken belief that a) perfection even exists or b) that it can protect us from real life. Self care is a space where our intuition thrives.
